2. Activating Your Battery

New batteries come in a shutdown mode to stay safe during transport. Here’s how to wake them up:
  • Using the Charging Hub: Pop the battery into the hub, plug in the data cable and adapter, and let it charge for about 10 seconds. VoilĂ ! Activated.
  • Using the Device: Insert the battery into your device, connect it to the data cable and adapter, and charge for 10 seconds. Easy peasy.
  • AQUA battery If the AQUA battery cannot be activated via charging, you can exit Deep Sleep mode and activate it by long-pressing the aircraft's Confirmation Button for more than 15 seconds.
When activating an AQUA battery using the Charging Hub, ensure that the battery is inserted within one minute of connecting the USB charging cable to the hub; otherwise, you must disconnect and then reconnect the USB cable to the Charging Hub.

3. Long-Term Storage Tips

If you’re not using your device for a while, here’s what to do:
  • Charge Every Two Months: If your battery is going into storage for over two months, give it a charge every couple of months to keep it fresh.
  • Avoid Sleep Mode: If the battery is severely low on power and left unused for a long time, it might go into sleep mode. Charge it up to wake it back up.

4. Battery FAQs

Self-Discharge Magic

Smart Batteries: The PRO and PROMAX batteries are pretty clever. They've got a self-discharge feature to keep themselves in tip-top shape.

How It Works: Imagine you've got a fully charged battery just chilling for three days. It'll gently let go of some of that charge, dropping to 96% capacity. After a week of doing nothing, it'll be at 60%. If it dips too low, it'll take a power nap to protect itself.

Why Does My Battery Need a Wake-Up Call?

Activation: New batteries are like sleepyheads straight out of the box. They're in a shutdown mode to stay safe on their journey to you. To wake them up, just plug them into the charging hub or your device for a quick 10-second power boost.

What's the Big Deal with Battery Firmware Updates?

Firmware Updates: Our smart batteries are always learning new tricks. If you see "Battery Firmware Updating," it's just your battery getting a brain boost. Patience, please! Don't unplug it during the update—let it finish its smart homework.

How Do I Keep My Battery Happy While It's on Vacation?

Storage Tips: If your battery is taking a long break, give it a little love every two months with a charge. This keeps it fresh and ready for action. And if it's been in a deep sleep for too long, a quick charge will wake it up.

What Happens If My Battery Has a Bad Day?

Handling Faulty Batteries: If your battery starts acting up, don't panic. Snap some photos, jot down the device's serial number, and let us know if it's had any watery adventures. For a battery that's beyond help, it's off to a professional battery recycling station—it's the safest and most responsible way to say goodbye.

5. Checking The Count Of Battery Charge Cycles

Currently, the batteries of HOVERAir X1 PRO/PROMAX support checking the count of battery charge cycles. You can check the count of charge cycles of your Smart battery according to the screenshot guidelines below.
