App Recording

Record audio through the Hover X1 App using your smartphone’s microphone — perfect for everyday shooting.

How to Turn It On

  1. Launch the Hover X1 App
  2. Open Settings
  3. Go to General Settings
  4. Select Video Sound Recording
  5. Toggle the feature on

Noise Reduction Modes

Natural Noise Reduction (Default)

Softens propeller noise while keeping voices and natural ambient sounds intact.
Great for vlogs and travel footage.

Deep Noise Reduction

Drastically cuts down propeller hum and background distractions, prioritizing clear human voices.
Note: An internet connection is required for the first use to download the AI noise reduction model.
 

Important Reminders

Keep the Hover X1 App open and active during recording. These actions will stop audio capture:
  1. Locking your phone screen
  2. Switching to other apps
  3. Force quitting the Hover X1 App

Audio Storage

Recorded audio is saved in the App’s private storage. When you download videos from the in-app album, audio will be automatically combined with footage.
Audio captured via the App cannot be exported separately.

Beacon Recording

Equipped with a built-in microphone, Beacon lets you record audio directly during flight. It works best for sports and outdoor adventures when a phone is not handy.

How to Turn It On

  1. Connect your aircraft via Beacon
  2. Enable Video Sound Recording in the Hover X1 App
  3. Start your recording
  4. Download the finished video from the in-app album
  5. Audio will sync with your video automatically after recording.

Locate Your Audio Files

All Beacon-recorded audio is stored in the aircraft’s internal storage.
Connect the aircraft to your computer via USB, then open the Audio folder to access your files.
Latest firmware versions also support separate audio file downloads.
 

FAQs

Audio and video are out of sync?

Download videos directly from the Hover X1 App album. The App will auto-sync and merge audio and video perfectly.

Why is my recording incomplete?

Ensure the Hover X1 App stays active while filming. Recording will pause if the app is minimized, closed or your phone is locked.

Can’t activate Deep Noise Reduction?

Check your internet connection. The AI noise reduction module needs to be downloaded before first use.

Can I export audio recorded by Beacon alone?

Absolutely. Connect the aircraft to a computer via USB, then retrieve audio files from the internal Audio folder.
